Il Derrière le Muret 1996 Extra Brut ha un perlage molto fine. Il naso è estremamente complesso: aromi maturi di frutta secca, noce, scorza di agrumi candita, sapori tostati e gesso affumicato. Al palato è teso, strutturato e molto secco, con un'acidità vibrante, una mineralità salata e un finale lungo e profondo. Uno champagne meditativo con una maturità maestosa e un carattere enorme.
